Scott Soden, Managing Partner

Scott Soden has more than 25 years of financial and deal-making experience specializing in transactions with cable television and communications networks, mobile phone and wireless carriers, and consumer print properties.  During the past twelve years, his skilled representation has led to the completion of over 100 transactions with an aggregate value of more than $2 billion.  His operational expertise and financial acumen have also resulted in substantial growth, documented leadership results and sizable process improvements in the companies he has led over the course of his career.  Mr. Soden has also held executive-level positions at SFP Publishing, and Vidal Sassoon S.M.  He has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver (1989) and is a 1983 graduate of Colorado State University (B.S./B.A., Accounting).  He holds his Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.  Mr. Soden qualified and competed in the 1988 Summer Olympic cycling trials.

Ed Moise, Managing Partner

Ed Moise’s wide breadth of experience, honed over the course of 20 years, has included working in environments as varied as Fortune 500 companies and start-up firms. As US Unwired Inc.’s Treasurer, Mr. Moise led acquisitions of Georgia PCS and IWO Holdings, divested two cellular operations, sold numerous PCS licenses, liquidated a paging operation, and monetized more than 450 communication towers. He and the Alpina team have assisted rural telecommunications companies to raise capital, restructure debt, monetize non-core assets, and sell ILEC and wireless operations. Mr. Moise has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan (1988) and is a 1986 cum laude graduate of Tulane University (B.S., Mathematical Economics and B.A., English). He holds his Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
